What a difference a year makes.  Last year Happy Harvick was anything but while making noise about abandoning RCR for hopefully greener pastures.  After Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan RCR has all three of their cars in the Chase, they've announced a fourth team for Paul Menard and Budweiser is replacing Shell Pennzoil on Harvick's No. 29 car.

Oh, and he won on Sunday, beating Denny Hamlin. Carl, Greg and Matt, Tony Stewart, Juan Pablo and Martin Truex Jr.  Elliott Sadler was ninth in another Ford ahead of Joe Logano, David Ragan, Jimmie Johnson, Clint Bowyer, polesitter Kasey  Kahne, Marcos Ambrose and David Reutimann.

All the top five qualifiers finished in the points and nine drivers scored lap points, including Greg Biffle who led the most laps.

This year's chase could be a battle between Roush Fenway and Richard Childress if Hendrick and Gibbs don't pick it up a notch.

Brad Keselowski put a real hurt on the Michigan Nationwide field Saturday, starting from pole and leading the most laps to beat Carl Edwards, Kyle, Justin Allgaier, Paul Menard, Joey Logano and Elliott Sadler.  Reed Sorenson, Colin Braun, Kavin Harvick, Travor Bayne, Ryan Truex, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Taler Malson, Briant Scott and Michael Annett filled out the top 16.

Special K has an almost insurmountable need in the points but this race, like all the weekly events, was a darn good race to watch.  Even if its almost all Cup teams and drivers.  That should change, you know.

The Camping World Truck Series returned to Darlington Saturday with Todd Bodine first ahead of polesitter Timothy Peters and they tied for most laps led.  Hornady was third in front of Johnny Sauter, Austin Dillon, Matt Crafton, James Buescher and Stacy Compton with Aric Almirola and Ken Schrader filling out the top 10.

And Jennifer Jo Cobb was 14th in her privateer Ford.  You go, girl.

Remember, this week is our early deadline round so make sure you have all your picks in by this Wednesday, August 18th at 12 Noon Arizona time.
