Since 2004 my company has been proud to provide Roush Fenway Racing with a collection of fantasy games that follow their NASCAR exploits, prowess, progress and results.

Yes, the pickin's have been kind of lean lately.  Thank God Carl Edwards picked up his game at the end of the season.

The YPEC format is different from the FMFL as the game only follows those series where Roush Fenway competes and points are awarded based on the accuracy of finish position predictions.

I liked the game a lot when the Cat in the Hat was racing five teams in Cup, four in what used to be called the Busch series and two or three more in the truck series.  But then Jack pulled out of the truck series, the game lost a full third of its playing field and now I'm thinking RFR should shift to a NASCAR -only (or even NASCAR + ARCA, or NASCAR + Daytona Prototypes) FMFL game.

We'll see.

Meanwhile, here's the scoop on who won what in this season's You Pick 'Em Challenge:

The final weekly winner, for scoring the most points among all players for RD#39, the Cup and Nationwide races at Homestead, was craig99.  Tomorrow I'm going to mail him a Roush Fenway hat and t-shirt, hoping he is a healthy, no smaller than an XL person who believes in the concept of re-gifting in case the shirt won't fit.

The You Pick 'Em Challenge had a 'chase' segment too, over the last 10 race weekends of the season, and the grand prize winner was race2hunt from Columbia, MO.  His grand prize for scoring the most points since Loudon starts out with a set of four (4)  2010 Roush Fenway Racing 1/24 scale die-cast collectibles, signed by Carl, David, Gregg and Matt.

The he gets a choice of two (2) grandstand tickets to a 2011 Sprint Cup race OR two (2) nontransferable pit passes to the 2011 Sprint Cup race of the winner’s choice for a Day at the Races with Roush Fenway Racing!

Darn cool I'd say.

Second place in the chase game was 33skoal from Austin, TX, who also won a set of 2010 Roush Fenway Racing signed 1:24 scale die-cast cars (Cup drivers only; four (4) cars total).

And the third place winner, griss27 from Cherokee Village, AR won a Roush Fenway Racing Let’s Go Racing Prize Package valued at $350.

Congratulations to each division winner, or the players who scored the most points for the entire season in their driver divisions.  Each will receive a signed 1/24 scale diecast representing their division:

craig99, Carl Edwards divisional champ
MRF's Missile, Greg Biffle division
Matt Backer, Matt Kenseth division
Ford Drive One, David Ragan division
MONSTER, Ricky Stenhouse division
Mudflat Racing, Colin Braun division
TO THE FLOOR, Paul Menard division
