It's Sunday morning of the last regular season NFL weekend and my fantasy team is playing for the championship.  Go BarFFLies.

It's also two weeks before we're scheduled to go live for the Wind Tunnel Super 7 Sweep game and a month or more before lineups will be due for other games.

Which is how you might have wound up here.

This page is where your humble Commish occassionally rambles, predicts, pontificates, complains, castigates,  etc. about racing, the motorsports industry and fantasy racing games.

If you are a Roush Fenway player you are here because the Roush Fenway Racing You Pick 'Em Challenge game is still being discussed for 2011 and the site is now in a holding pattern.  You were forwarded here because we thought it would be better than seeing a 'this page will not load' error message.

We can say with some confidence that the pick-the-finish-positions format that's been in use since 2004 has probably gone the way of open face helmets and Dick Trickle smoking during stock car racing caution periods.  After RFR left the truck series the game program just didn't make as much sense as it did when the Cat in the Hat ran a couple of F150s plus teams in both the Nationwide and Cup series.

One game we're working on that may or not be a good substitute is a NASCAR/ARCA FMFL game, similar to the Super 7 Sweep in that everyone will pick seven drivers each race weekend but the contest will follow the three NASCAR series plus ARCA exclusively.   Why?  Because we like ARCA and what better way to get a head start on getting to know the future stars of NASCAR.

Stand by and watch your email because if you played the Roush game last season we're going to send out an update message as soon as we have all our ducks in a row.

If you are an NHRA drag racing fan the news is similar.  We're ramping up for our eighth season of NHRA FMFL competition and the good news is we're still a good five weeks away from having to be live.  If you played last season you'll definitely be sent an email on the game status and with any luck at all you'll also read something online thanks to some interest from a sponsor or partner.  And yes, we're considering adding Pro Mods to the mix.

Other games?  Well, we're considering a couple that will cater to 1) the anything-but-NASCAR crowd, and 2) the white wine and cheese folks.  These games may combine F1 and IndyCar with ALMS and both Grand-Am series or they may segregate the sports car series from the open wheel group.

Again, watch this space or your email inbox to find out what kind of additional games we might introduce in the coming weeks.
